Aboitiz Construction inks contracts with Republic Cement Building Materials Inc. for two high value projects with tight schedules. Scope includes structural and mechanical works to be completed in 11 months. Republic Cement has worked with Aboitiz Construction for some of its projects since 2017.
Aboitiz Construction signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Philippine Resins Industries, Inc. (PRII) in November for the polyvinyl chloride resin plant in Batangas 2, Mariveles, Bataan. The 18-month project includes a combined package for structural, mechanical, piping and civil works expansion of the plant, doubling its capacity from 100 metric tons to 200 metric tons per year. In so doing, PRII can better serve the domestic market.
Aboitiz Construction visited 6 large companies in Japan. Fitting of being the “land of the rising sun”, Japan poses a hopeful future for the company. Visited were Wakachiku Construction Ltd., Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. (NSENGI), Hitachi Zosen Corporation, Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Toshiba and Japan Gas Corporation (JGC).
55 Kaubans of Aboitiz Construction, Inc. joined the 2017 DYAB Kapamilya Run held on June 11. Categories included 3K, 6K, 12K and 21K. Most of the Kaubans joined the 6K run. Only 2 Kaubans, namely Atty. William Podot of Finance and Ramero Mabayag Jr. of Fabrication, finished the 21K category. (more…)
