Sustainability

From Our Leader

At Aboitiz Construction, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. This webpage version of our Sustainability Report reflects our firm commitment to responsible business practices that create lasting value for our stakeholders and communities. As we move forward, we remain focused on reducing our environmental impact while promoting economic growth and social development.

This report also aligns with the Aboitiz Group’s mission of becoming the country’s first techglomerate—an organization that embraces technological innovation to drive sustainable solutions. By integrating advanced technologies into our operations, we are enhancing efficiency, reducing our carbon footprint, and making significant strides toward building a more sustainable business.

Our commitment to building a better future goes beyond construction. It’s about fostering innovation, resilience, and progress for the next generation. Together, we will continue building a future where businesses and communities can thrive in harmony with our planet.

Materiality Assessment

A materiality assessment (MA) is the process of identifying and prioritizing the most relevant environmental, economic, social, and governance (EESG) issues that significantly impact both the business and its stakeholders.

To facilitate this, we underwent this process:

Engaged Stakeholders:

We consulted key stakeholders, including employees, clients, suppliers, and regulators, to gather input on the most important EESG issues.

Collected and Analyzed Data:

We analyzed internal data, external trends, industry benchmarks, and regulatory requirements to gain a deeper understanding of relevant issues.

Prioritized Issues:

Based on stakeholder input and data analysis, we prioritized the most relevant issues that could significantly impact both the business and stakeholders.

Mapped Issues on a Materiality Matrix:

We created a materiality matrix to visually represent and rank the significance of each issue.

Used Results to Guide Strategy:

The findings from the materiality assessment were used to refine our strategic direction, ensuring alignment with critical sustainability challenges and stakeholder expectations.
